Many system administrators automate file transfers using the console based FTP program that ships with Microsoft Windows. The administrator typically calls the program from a batch file and passes a list of FTP commands to execute. It is not possible to test if file transfers were executed correctly and it is not possible to notify users if a problem occured. Morover, secure file transfer using SSH2 based SFTP or SSL/TLS based FTPS is not supported.
