Yammy (Yahoo Messenger Archive Decoder) 0.9 RC1 Review
Yammy or Yahoo Messenger Archive Decoder will let you decode and view not only yours but, also others' stored YM conversations on your hard drive. It doesn't even require a password!
You can also export conversations into RTF or plain text format.
Usage:
Start the application.
Click open on the toolbar or select File > Open.
In the dialog that appears, navigate to your Archives folder and select a file to decode.
You should see the decoded contents on the screen.
If Yammy has trouble determining the yahoo-id, it'll prompt you for it.
Press Save to save it to a text or an rtf file.
Note:
The Archives folder is usually located at C:Program FilesYahoo!MessengerProfiles{YAHOO-ID}ArchiveMessages.
Yammy currently supports only instant messages and NOT conferences and mobile messages.
